Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonardo Donato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Father Frottage! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frottage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Donato! Donato bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Donato trying to control the position from guard on top but Frottage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Frottage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donato. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Donato works a leg free and moves into half guard. Donato is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Frottage doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Donato. Frottage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donato wants to take a breather but Frottage is having none of it. Frottage wants to get back to full guard. Donato is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Frottage doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Donato. Donato is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Frottage is looking to control Donato's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Frottage avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frottage is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Donato jumps into side control! Donato advances to mount. Donato is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Frottage is surviving well by controlling Donato's body position as best he can. Frottage is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Frottage wants to hold on but Donato pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Donato is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Frottage to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Frottage shrugs it off. Frottage is trying to escape the mount.
Donato has isolated one of Frottage's arms. Frottage looking to fight him off but Donato twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
