Savage feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Savage creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Truth has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Truth throws a leg kick but Savage moved away.

Truth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Savage to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Savage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Truth's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Savage throws a combination. Truth tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Savage has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Truth takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Savage throws a series of punches but Truth avoids them all with ease.
Truth is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Savage.
Savage takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Truth takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Truth is pushing Savage's head away, looking to escape. Savage manages to hold on to the position though.

Savage closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Truth to the mat! Truth manages to get full guard.
Savage content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Savage distracts Truth with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Savage is in close to Truth's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Let's hope that Savage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Savage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
