The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gonzaga.
Skeet sizes up Gonzaga with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gonzaga shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Skeet counters with a nice uppercut.
Gonzaga shoots in for a takedown but Skeet shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Andy Skeet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Gonzaga.
Nice takedown defense from Skeet. No joy for Gonzaga on that attempt.
Skeet lands a really nice looking cross but Gonzaga seems unphased.
Gonzaga shoots in for a double leg but Skeet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Skeet steps into range and cracks Gonzaga with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Gonzaga flops backwards and Skeet dives into his guard looking to finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skeet controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gonzaga is still in real trouble! Can Skeet finish him?
Skeet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gonzaga is keeping the position for now.
Gonzaga seems to have recovered his senses.
Gonzaga has a closed guard, preventing Skeet from standing up.
Skeet with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skeet is stalling in the full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Skeet throws a chopping leg kick but Gonzaga manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Skeet tests Gonzaga's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gonzaga takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gabriel Gonzaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzaga takes one to the side of the head.
Skeet scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Skeet is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Gonzaga shoots in for a double leg but Skeet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gonzaga is trying desperately to land a takedown but Skeet is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gonzaga.
Skeet cracks Gonzaga with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gonzaga tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Skeet pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gonzaga is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
