Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devin McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tra King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying King's choice of entrance music: God's Gonna Cut You Down. Devin McGregor could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tra King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tra King!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGregor but McGregor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McGregor drives through with a takedown into guard.
McGregor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McGregor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McGregor trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
McGregor won't allow King to sweep him here.
King looks gassed!
McGregor wanted to stand there but King had control of the position.
McGregor forces his way into half guard.

McGregor prevents King from improving his position.

McGregor is working for a submission of some sort.

McGregor is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
McGregor wants to stand up but King has a hold of him and won't allow it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

McGregor looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
King manages to get to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McGregor is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed King to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
King wants to improve his position but instead McGregor has moved into half guard.
King is trying to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McGregor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and King counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McGregor!
McGregor tries to reverse the position but King maintains control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King goes for an armbar but McGregor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McGregor.

King keeping busy on the bottom but McGregor has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McGregor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
King wants to get back to full guard.

McGregor seems to be working for a kimura but King defends the submission attempt.
King is pressing down on McGregor's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

King throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McGregor escapes and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control!
McGregor wants to stand but King is controlling his arm.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
King is not content to let McGregor control the position.

McGregor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.

McGregor stands up and beckons King to his feet.
McGregor looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.
Tra King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGregor shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin McGregor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGregor lands a head kick!
McGregor tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
King tries for a takedown but McGregor circles away easily
and McGregor counters with a big head kick but King shrugs it off.


It looks like Tra King has been cut.
McGregor misses with a takedown

so King counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
King trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but McGregor manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
McGregor passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King is trying to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McGregor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.

McGregor stands up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGregor.
King stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McGregor.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tra King will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Tra King's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



McGregor drives through and clinches with King against the cage.
McGregor looking to stall.
McGregor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. King is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

McGregor pulls guard.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGregor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGregor is striking off his back. King thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

King is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
King trying to pass the guard but McGregor defending well.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McGregor preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
McGregor gets full guard.
McGregor wants to stand up but King is controlling him.
McGregor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
McGregor won't allow King to sweep him here.
King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGregor's guard.
King pushing down on McGregor's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
King trying to mount his opponent but McGregor defends it.
McGregor wants to improve his position but King is controlling well.
McGregor regains full guard. Nicely done.

You can see the frustration on McGregor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McGregor is trying to get back to his feet.
McGregor is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked King off and has taken his back!
King staying busy and making it hard for McGregor to control.

McGregor is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. King defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

McGregor tries to keep control of the position but King is staying busy.
McGregor thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
King tries to escape but McGregor has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

King defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of McGregor's arms.
King breaks McGregor's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McGregor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

And that's the end of the fight!
Devin McGregor showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McGregor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
