Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Scully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Chavez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derek Scully!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugo Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Scully throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chavez was covering up waiting for the punch and Scully finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Scully trying to control the position from guard on top but Chavez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chavez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scully defends it easily.
Chavez wants to stand but Scully is controlling the position.
Chavez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scully pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chavez is keeping the position for now.
Scully advances position into side control!
Scully is looking to take a break and control but Chavez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Scully creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chavez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chavez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Scully is pressing down on Chavez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chavez is holding on for now.
Chavez looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Chavez manages to get to full guard.
Scully wants to control from the top but Chavez keeps moving.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Scully passes into half guard.
Scully thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chavez's head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Scully is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chavez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Scully trying to control the action but Chavez is working from the bottom.

Scully is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Scully is trying to control. Chavez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Scully seems to be looking for submissions.
Scully is working for a kimura but Chavez is defending it quite comfortably.
Chavez is staying active underneath Scully, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Scully throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Scully works his foot free and advances to mount.

Scully can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chavez is looking to escape.
Scully wants to finish this one by submission but Chavez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Scully.
Chavez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Chavez wants to control but Scully is having none of it.
Scully looking to secure an arm triangle but Chavez defends it well.
Scully thowing shots but they're missing.
Chavez tries to lock up and control but Scully gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Chavez is trying to escape the mount.
Chavez has left one of his arms exposed and Scully doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Chavez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
