Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leo Atkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valera Zugin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valera Zugin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leo Atkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Valera Zugin!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atkinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Zugin is refusing to be controlled, as Atkinson sits in half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Atkinson connects with a nice short shot to Zugin's temple.

Atkinson is nestled in close to Zugin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zugin has hold of Atkinson's hands but Atkinson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Zugin is looking for a sweep. Atkinson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zugin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Atkinson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Well Atkinson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
