The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sultanov tries a head kick but it misses.
Sultanov walks into a stiff left hand from Watson.
Sultanov throws a lazy head kick
and Watson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Watson connects with a crisp jab.
Watson connects with a looping right hand.
Watson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sultanov looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sultanov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Watson digs a good hook to Sultanov's body.
Watson lands a jab to Sultanov's midsection.
Watson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Asxat Sultanov has been cut.
Watson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sultanov is not content to let Watson control the position.
Watson is trying to get an arm triangle but Sultanov is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watson trying to control the action but Sultanov is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Watson has hold of Sultanov's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sultanov tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Watson cranks the arm and Sultanov screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sultanov, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
