Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Spencer Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Rogers! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spencer Jr moves into the clinch. Rogers tries to break the clinch but Spencer Jr is controlling the position. Spencer Jr keeps control of Rogers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Spencer Jr stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rogers throws a punch but it's blocked by Spencer Jr. Rogers blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rogers tries to work over Spencer Jr's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Spencer Jr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Spencer Jr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Spencer Jr gets through Rogers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Rogers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spencer Jr has him pressed against the cage. Rogers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Still in the clinch, Rogers scores with a nice short uppercut. Rogers is trying to force a seperation but Spencer Jr has the dominant position. Spencer Jr lands a right hand. Spencer Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rogers tries to clinch but fails miserably and Spencer Jr counters by moving into the clinch. and Spencer Jr makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Rogers tries to clinch but fails miserably and Spencer Jr counters with an outside leg kick.

Rogers looks gassed! Spencer Jr lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rogers backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Rogers finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Spencer Jr's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Rogers falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dick Spencer Jr!
