Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ahmad Nabijos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nabijos comes to the cage accompanied by NYC Crack - Wu Tang Clan. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ahmad Nabijos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Smasher! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nabijos throws a low kick but Smasher moves out of range easily. Smasher tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Smasher throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nabijos counters with an outside leg kick.
Nabijos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nabijos there as he acknowledges the shot. Nabijos has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smasher finds it's way round the side to connect with Nabijos's head. Smasher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Smasher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Smasher stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nabijos. Nabijos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smasher.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher misses with a looping right. Nabijos lands with a kick to the temple. Smasher shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nabijos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smasher looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nabijos ducks under a wild hook from Smasher. Smasher throws a looping overhand right but Nabijos ducks down to avoid it. Nabijos misses with a two punch combination.
Smasher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nabijos throws an off balance right hand
and Smasher counters with a straight right hand. Ahmad Nabijos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good work by Smasher as he checks the leg kick. Nabijos shoots in and bounces Smasher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nabijos controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Smasher manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Smasher staying out of range there. Nabijos looks to throw the jab but Smasher is out of range. Smasher swings widly with a right hand
and Nabijos counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smasher throws a lazy uppercut
and Nabijos counters with a slapping leg kick. Joe Smasher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nabijos throws a lazy uppercut
letting Smasher counter with a right hand. Smasher swings for the body but Nabijos moves out of range.
Smasher with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nabijos is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Smasher's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. A jab from Nabijos misses. Nabijos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Smasher misses with a hook to the body
and Nabijos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smasher won't be happy with that. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Ahmad Nabijos dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nabijos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smasher. Smasher tries to close the distance and clinch but Nabijos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Smasher falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nabijos counters with a leg kick. Nabijos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nabijos takes one to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher tries to bum rush Nabijos with a series of wild strikes but Nabijos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nabijos takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Nabijos sizes up Smasher with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nabijos misses with a looping right. Smasher scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nabijos doesn't seem bothered though. Smasher thuds a left hand into Nabijos's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nabijos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smasher has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smasher and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Nabijos's corner calls for a 1-2. Nabijos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Smasher closes the distance and lands a one-two. Nabijos blocks a jab. Nabijos misses with a left hand and Smasher makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Nabijos scores with a jab to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nabijos misses with a wild combination.

and Smasher counters with a nice uppercut. The fighters circling - Smasher throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nabijos swinging wildly here.
Smasher wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nabijos gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nabijos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Smasher connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nabijos's hands. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ahmad Nabijos will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Nabijos misses the shot to the body. Nabijos moves out of range as Smasher strikes. Nabijos slips under a jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nabijos. Nabijos defending well as Smasher loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nabijos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smasher napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher wants to get back to his feet but Nabijos drags him back down. A lull in the action here as Nabijos stalls from top position. Smasher is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nabijos is controlling him well. Smasher seems a little lost for a moment, as Nabijos dominates the positioning. Smasher is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nabijos taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nabijos misses with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nabijos in side control, just content to control the action for now. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ahmad Nabijos has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Some wild striking there from Nabijos.

Nabijos swings for the body but Smasher moves out of range.
Nabijos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smasher counters with a stiff right hand. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Smasher lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A shot to the body from Smasher misses and Nabijos counters with a nice body kick. Nabijos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nabijos loads up on a big right hand but Smasher slips the punch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smasher misses with a left hand and Nabijos counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Nabijos throws a hook but Smasher blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Ahmad Nabijos showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nabijos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
