Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Tait!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eh Mal tries for a takedown but Tait circles away easily
and Tait counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Eh Mal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tait is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Tait missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Eh Mal striking off his back but it's not causing Tait any problems.
Tait controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Eh Mal is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Tait looking to secure an arm triangle but Eh Mal defends it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tait sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Tait shoots in and bounces Eh Mal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tait is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Tait is pressing down on Eh Mal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Eh Mal is holding on for now.

Tait prevents Eh Mal from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tait is taking a breather. Eh Mal says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tait lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tait stalling.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Tait showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Eh Mal wants to clinch
and Tait counters with a solid body kick.
Tait throws a sloppy head kick

and Eh Mal counters with a shoot takedown. Tait fights it but they end up in guard.
Eh Mal wants to control from the top but Tait keeps moving.
Eh Mal won't allow Tait to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tait holds on and takes a little breather.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Eh Mal shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tait is concentrating on defense, preventing Eh Mal from advancing position.

Eh Mal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tait works his way to full guard. Good work.
Tait manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
George Tait has got the better of the ground game so far.
Eh Mal is trying to reverse the position but instead Tait has taken his back - oops!

Eh Mal has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Tait just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Tait is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Eh Mal has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
What can Eh Mal do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Tait looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Good control from Tait.
Let's hope that Tait has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tait has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Eh Mal is defending well but eventually Tait manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Eh Mal has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
