Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Callao Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joselito Carioca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Callao Jr. That's going to slow Carioca down.
Callao Jr avoids the head kick by Carioca.
Carioca comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Callao Jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Callao Jr is trying to control the position but Carioca postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Miguel Callao Jr just wasn't active enough.
Carioca takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Carioca stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Callao Jr.

Carioca shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Callao Jr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Callao Jr pushes Carioca off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Callao Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carioca circles away quickly and effectively.

Carioca clinches up with Callao Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
Callao Jr drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carioca gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Callao Jr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carioca just stands there and leans against the cage.

A left hand lands to the body for Carioca.

Carioca lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Carioca is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Callao Jr defends it well.

Carioca is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Callao Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carioca.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Callao Jr has one foot on Carioca's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Carioca goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Callao Jr turns into him and now he's in Carioca's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Carioca can't keep his opponent in guard - Callao Jr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Carioca throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Callao Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Carioca is in Callao Jr's guard.
Carioca wants to control from the top but Callao Jr keeps moving.

Callao Jr is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Carioca tries to land a knee to the head but Callao Jr blocks with his arms.

Carioca wants to control the position but Callao Jr says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Callao Jr uses his free foot to push down on Carioca's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carioca.
Carioca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callao Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
