Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: Everybody Knows. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Jones! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Anderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Anderson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Anderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Anderson pulls his head out easily. Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Anderson drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones actively working from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anderson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anderson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones thows a big elbow that misses. Anderson controlling Jones's posture. Anderson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson keeping busy on the bottom but Jones has passed one foot through into half guard.
Anderson is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anderson avoid being mounted? Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Jones uses his free foot to push down on Anderson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Anderson. Anderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Anderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anderson tries to get out of the position. Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Anderson is breathing heavily. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape. Jones working for a submission but Anderson is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones has control of Anderson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Anderson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Anderson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Anderson hang on? Anderson tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to control but Anderson wriggling away. Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Anderson is trying desperately to improve position. Jones controlling from the full mount. Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Anderson tries to control Jones's body but Jones pushes him off. Anderson squirms to his side and now Jones has his back! Jones looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Anderson taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alex Jones!
