Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Paxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amare Behranu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paxton comes into the arena with Advance Australia Fair blaring out of the sound system. Behranu has chosen Ethiopian National Anthem as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Paxton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amare Behranu! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paxton misses with a jab to the body
and Behranu counters with a straight right hand. Paxton connects with a crisp jab. Behranu walks into a straight right hand from Paxton. Paxton misses with a jab to the body
and Behranu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Behranu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Paxton throws an off balance right hand
and Behranu counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Behranu passes easily into side control. Nice work. Paxton is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Behranu is controlling him well. Behranu is trying to get an arm triangle but Paxton is defending well. Behranu trying to control the action but Paxton is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Behranu misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Behranu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Paxton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Behranu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Behranu looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Behranu throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behranu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Behranu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Behranu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. A lull in the action here as Behranu stalls from top position. Paxton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Behranu on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Behranu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Behranu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amare Behranu dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Paxton jabs Behranu to the body, keeping him at a distance. Paxton misses with a body shot.
Paxton throws a big shot that misses. Paxton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Behranu manages to avoid it. Paxton throws a nice looking combination but Behranu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Billy Paxton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paxton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Behranu was well out of range. Poor timing from Paxton. Paxton misses the body punch and Behranu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Paxton rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Behranu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Amare Behranu has got the better of the ground game so far. Paxton keeping moving, preventing Behranu from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Behranu wants to pass the guard but Paxton is keeping the position. Behranu trying to control but Paxton is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Behranu is pushing down on Paxton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paxton is fighting to maintain full guard but Behranu has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Behranu is working for a submission of some sort.
Behranu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Paxton could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Behranu has cracked it and Paxton is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Behranu!
