No luck with that takedown attempt from Wells.
Rodriguez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like David Wells has been cut.
Rodriguez throws a lazy uppercut
and Wells counters by moving into the clinch.
Wells's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wells shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wells showed some decent athleticism there.
Rodriguez is looking to escape.
Wells has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rodriguez defend it? Wells steps over the head and cranks it - Rodriguez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wells!
