Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Indiana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mortis's entrance music is Crush 'em by Megadeth. A fine choice. Indiana has chosen Jay Z - 99 problems as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Mortis! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Gary Indiana! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Indiana tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mortis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Indiana throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Indiana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Indiana tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mortis swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Indiana misses with a right hand enabling Mortis to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Gary Indiana has been cut. Mortis throws a solid leg kick but Indiana takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mortis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Indiana or perhaps it was just good defense by Mortis which made him look bad. Kyle Mortis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Indiana throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mortis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mortis misses with a lunging right hand
and Indiana counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mortis won't be happy with that. Indiana creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mortis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Indiana is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mortis has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Indiana wants to take a breather but Mortis manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Indiana. Indiana has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mortis misses with a left hand and Indiana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! and Mortis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Indiana thinking. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mortis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mortis tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mortis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Indiana counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Indiana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mortis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Indiana prevents Mortis from improving his position. Mortis trying to control here.

Mortis is trying to maintain the position but Indiana is very close to passing his half guard. Indiana is looking to take a break and control but Mortis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
