Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darius Kasparaitis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Lawblaw!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasparaitis pushes Lawblaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Kasparaitis manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lawblaw tries to break the clinch but Kasparaitis is controlling the position.
Kasparaitis avoiding damage.
Kasparaitis gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Lawblaw tries to pull guard but Kasparaitis holds him up against the cage and eventually Lawblaw drops back down to his feet.
Kasparaitis displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lawblaw up against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Darius Kasparaitis.
A head kick misses from Lawblaw.

Kasparaitis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lawblaw to the mat! Lawblaw manages to get full guard.
Lawblaw wants to get back to his feet but Kasparaitis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kasparaitis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lawblaw is keeping the position for now.

Kasparaitis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lawblaw can't fight it off and eventually Kasparaitis manages to take the fight to the floor. Lawblaw looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kasparaitis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lawblaw wants to stand but Kasparaitis is controlling the position.
Kasparaitis throwing strikes from guard but Lawblaw blocks nicely.

Lawblaw is looking to control Kasparaitis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lawblaw avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up because Darius Kasparaitis just wasn't active enough.
Lawblaw shoots in for a double leg but Kasparaitis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kasparaitis lands a right hook to the body.
Lawblaw looks gassed!

Kasparaitis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lawblaw, pushing him back against the cage.
Nice body punch from Kasparaitis - that landed with a thud.
Kasparaitis scores with a knee to the head.


It looks like Bob Lawblaw has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stalling in the clinch from Kasparaitis.

Kasparaitis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kasparaitis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kasparaitis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kasparaitis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kasparaitis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kasparaitis jumps guard and drags Lawblaw to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kasparaitis keeping moving, preventing Lawblaw from controlling successfully.

Kasparaitis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kasparaitis looking for a guillotine here but Lawblaw defends easily.
Lawblaw wants to control from the top but Kasparaitis keeps moving.
Kasparaitis is adopting a defensive guard.

Kasparaitis kicks Lawblaw off and gets to his feet.
Lawblaw is breathing heavily.

Kasparaitis misses with a combination
and Kasparaitis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kasparaitis moves into range and clinches up with Lawblaw.

Kasparaitis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lawblaw clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Can Lawblaw hold on?! Kasparaitis is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Lawblaw tries to escape but Kasparaitis has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
You can see the frustration on Lawblaw's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kasparaitis is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lawblaw has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Kasparaitis has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Lawblaw.

Kasparaitis looking for the choke but no joy.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lawblaw has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Kasparaitis controlling the positon.
Lawblaw is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Kasparaitis looking to break Lawblaw's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lawblaw remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kasparaitis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Kasparaitis controlling the position well here. Lawblaw rolled but Kasparaitis kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kasparaitis gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Kasparaitis is looking for the choke from the back position but Lawblaw is controlling his hands well.

Kasparaitis cracks Lawblaw with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Lawblaw from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Kasparaitis is working for a rear naked choke. Lawblaw is not defending it well and Kasparaitis has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Lawblaw refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Lawblaw's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
