Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Caige (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quan Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Caige might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Silverchair- israel's Son. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Caige!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Quan Chi!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caige bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Caige tries to stand but Chi is controlling his head.
Chi sneaks back into half guard.
Caige wants to stand up but Chi has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Caige wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Chi uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Chi pulls Caige in to control the position.
Caige wants to stand and escape but instead Chi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Chi is stalling in the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caige is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chi is controlling him.
Caige might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Quan Chi.
Chi shoots and misses
and Caige counters with a leg kick.

Chi shoots in and gets a takedown into Caige's guard.
Chi controlling from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Chi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Caige could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Quan Chi.
Caige throws a left and a right that both miss

and Chi counters with a shoot takedown. Caige fights it but they end up in guard.
Chi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Quan Chi wasn't active enough on the ground.
Caige has a takedown stuffed.
Chi throws a right and a left that Caige avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quan Chi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Caige swinging wildly here.
Caige tries to clinch up but Chi circles away and keeps his distance.
Chi misses with a kick to the body.
Chi shoots and misses

and Caige counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Caige would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Chi controlling the position.

Chi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Caige defends it easily.
Caige wanted to stand there but Chi had control of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chi is on top in guard.
Caige is looking to stand up but Chi isn't so interested in that idea.
Chi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Quan Chi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Chi shoots and misses
and Caige counters with a solid body kick.
Chi with a poor takedown

so Caige counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Billy Caige has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quan Chi.
Chi has a closed guard, preventing Caige from standing up.
Chi has his hands on Caige's head, controlling the position.
Caige wants to stand and escape but instead Chi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Chi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Quan Chi was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Caige scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Caige stands up and beckons Chi to his feet.
Chi tries to clinch but Caige is having none of it.
Caige misses with a straight right.
Chi misses with a takedown attempt

and Caige decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chi's guard.
Chi looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Caige would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chi pulls Caige in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Caige dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Chi tries to bum rush Caige with a series of wild strikes but Caige uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chi tries to close the distance and clinch but Caige swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Caige fails with the takedown

and Chi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Chi seems content to control.
Caige is trying to stand back up but Chi is controlling him

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Chi passes to side control.
Chi controls the position.
Caige tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Caige is trying to stand back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Chi is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Caige trying to get back to his feet but Chi is in full control for now.
Chi has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Caige's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Chi is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Caige is tapping out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Quan Chi!
