Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artur Nowak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Graf Orlak! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nowak tries for a takedown but Orlak circles away easily and Orlak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice uppercut there from Orlak. Orlak connects with a looping right hand.
Orlak takes the fight into the clinch. A short uppercut from Orlak.
It looks like Artur Nowak has been cut. Orlak lands a hook that snaps the head of Nowak backwards. Nowak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Orlak pulls his leg out and moves away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Orlak. Nowak with a poor takedown and Orlak counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artur Nowak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nowak has his takedown stuffed and Orlak counters with a nice uppercut. Nowak has his takedown stuffed and Orlak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Orlak connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nowak momentarily.
Nowak misses with a takedown and Orlak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nowak takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Orlak digs a good hook to Nowak's body.
Nowak is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlak moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Orlak cracks Nowak with a right hand to the side of the head. Orlak lands with a nice combination. Nowak backs away looking to recover. Orlak clobbers Nowak with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nowak is rocked! Orlak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nowak had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Orlak cracks Nowak with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nowak looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Orlak finish him?
Oh Nowak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nowak walks straight into a right hand from Orlak - that's dropped him! Orlak jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nowak from any more punishment! Nowak complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Graf Orlak!
