Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nitram Eyricus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eyricus comes to the cage accompanied by Eat You by Limp Bizkit. Schweinsteiger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Son Kite - On Air kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eyricus tests Schweinsteiger's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Eyricus misses with a combination
and Schweinsteiger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Schweinsteiger trying to advance position but Eyricus counters by regaining guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schweinsteiger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eyricus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schweinsteiger has managed to get both his arms back between Eyricus's legs - danger averted.

Eyricus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Schweinsteiger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Schweinsteiger's back!

Schweinsteiger is looking for a kimura but Eyricus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schweinsteiger to get the leverage.

Schweinsteiger drops back, looking for a kneebar! Eyricus looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Eyricus looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Eyricus!
Schweinsteiger parries the strikes from Eyricus easily there. Eyricus is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Schweinsteiger to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Eyricus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Eyricus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schweinsteiger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Eyricus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Eyricus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schweinsteiger is trying to improve his position.
Eyricus is looking to take a break and control but Schweinsteiger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Eyricus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Eyricus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A close round but Bastian Schweinsteiger will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Eyricus misses with a hook
and Schweinsteiger makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Eyricus fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Schweinsteiger to the ground. Eyricus is now in Schweinsteiger's guard.
Eyricus wants to control from the top but Schweinsteiger keeps moving.
Schweinsteiger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Eyricus manages to get himself to full guard.
Schweinsteiger passes Eyricus's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Eyricus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Schweinsteiger is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Eyricus has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Eyricus makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Eyricus.
Schweinsteiger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eyricus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Schweinsteiger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Eyricus's guard.
Schweinsteiger has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Eyricus is looking to improve his position but Schweinsteiger isn't that keen on the idea.
Eyricus stops Schweinsteiger from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bastian Schweinsteiger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Eyricus has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Schweinsteiger to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Eyricus is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Schweinsteiger pulls down on the head and he's put Eyricus to sleep! This one is all over!
