Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Karte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Barker!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karte swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Karte takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Karte avoids the head kick by Barker.
Barker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Karte counters with a head kick. That will keep Barker thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Barker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Barker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Karte.
A head kick misses from Barker.
Travis Barker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barker throws a low kick but it's checked well by Karte.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barker tries a head kick but it misses.
Oooooh!!! Barker has knocked Karte down with a huge combo! Barker steps away and waves a wobbly Karte back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Dan Karte has been cut.
Barker throws a head kick but Karte moves out of range.
Barker drops Karte with a beautiful combination! Karte stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barker is looking for the KO!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barker throws a monster overhand right that drops Karte! Barker follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
