Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant comes to the cage accompanied by Beanie (Mack B****). Austin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Six Million Dollar Man. Steve Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dwight Grant! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Austin! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin gets a takedown into half guard. Grant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grant trying to hold on to Austin's head to control him but Austin postures up.
Grant blocking the ground and pound attempt from Austin. Grant is trying to maintain the position but Austin is very close to passing his half guard. Grant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Austin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Grant knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Austin thows a huge punch but Grant dodges it nicely.
Grant tries to roll over but Austin keeps him under control. Austin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Grant is trying to maintain the position but Austin is very close to passing his half guard. Grant avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Austin. Austin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Grant's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant wants to get back to full guard. Austin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Austin trying to control from half guard but Grant is working away. Austin trying to pass the guard but Grant defending well. Grant regains full guard. Nicely done. Austin lands a couple of digs. Austin won't allow Grant to sweep him here. Grant trying to control the position.
Grant is pulling down on Austin's head. It's preventing any offense from Austin, at least for the moment. Austin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Grant keeping moving, preventing Austin from controlling successfully. Grant tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Austin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grant works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Grant keeping full guard, as Austin tries to pass. Grant wants to sweep here but Austin controlling him for the moment. Grant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Austin manages to get himself to full guard.

Austin wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Austin stands up over Grant, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Austin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Grant working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Austin. Grant kicks Austin off and gets to his feet. Grant misses with a takedown attempt and Austin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grant doesn't succeed with the takedown and Austin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Austin scores with a three punch combo!
Austin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Austin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant is breathing heavily. Austin lands the left hand. Grant shoots and misses and Austin counters with a nice body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Grant is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
