Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lutter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jowdi Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Lutter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jowdi Marshall! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lutter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lutter in particular looking to stall. Marshall is trying to stand up here but Lutter is controlling him well. Lutter content to control rather than advance. Lutter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Lutter seems content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nick Lutter. Lutter takes the fight into the clinch. Lutter wants a takedown.
Lutter jumps guard and drags Marshall to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Lutter has a closed guard, preventing Marshall from standing up. Lutter has his hands on Marshall's head, controlling the position. Lutter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall tries to buck Lutter off but he can't manage it. Lutter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lutter scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Marshall?

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lutter landing strikes from the mount and Marshall is in trouble! Lutter controlling from mount. Lutter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Marshall for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Marshall is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Lutter controlling the pace for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Marshall wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Lutter dominated that round. That's time! Lutter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lutter moves into the clinch. Lutter has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Marshall is trying to keep an underhook but Lutter manages to get the takedown into half guard. Marshall looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lutter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lutter is pressing down on Marshall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Marshall is holding on for now. Lutter thows a huge punch but Marshall dodges it nicely.
Lutter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marshall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lutter keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lutter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lutter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lutter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We're going to have a standup here because Nick Lutter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Marshall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marshall looks to land a combination but Lutter avoids it well. A right-left combo lands from Marshall. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall misses with a double jab.
Marshall connects with a right that clearly hurt Lutter. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Marshall proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Lutter collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jowdi Marshall!
