Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ardrizi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka has chosen Bring it on as his entrance music. Marco Ardrizi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Ardrizi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuri Boyka!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ardrizi to the mat! Ardrizi manages to get full guard.
Ardrizi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Boyka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Boyka closes the distance and clinches.

Boyka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boyka throws a combination that misses
letting Ardrizi counter with a right hand.
Ardrizi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Boyka plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Horrible takedown by Ardrizi or perhaps it was just good defense by Boyka which made him look bad.
Boyka takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Boyka counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Ardrizi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ardrizi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyka manages to get himself to full guard.
Boyka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Boyka wants to stand and escape but Ardrizi is having none of it.

Ardrizi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ardrizi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boyka is staying active underneath Ardrizi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Marco Ardrizi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ardrizi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ardrizi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boyka circles away quickly and effectively.
A left lands for Ardrizi.
Marco Ardrizi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ardrizi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boyka avoids it really well and circles away.
Boyka fails to land with a series of punches.
Ardrizi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ardrizi fails to land the takedown.

Ardrizi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boyka pinned against the cage. Boyka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ardrizi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Boyka is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
