Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artemis Entreri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's entrance music is Cypress Hill - Tequila Sunrise. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Entreri lands a body shot.
Artemis Entreri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez works the jab nicely.

Entreri is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sanchez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Entreri's guard.
Sanchez is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Sanchez throws and elbow that misses. Entreri uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanchez's guard. Nice move by Entreri!

Sanchez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Entreri is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanchez.

Sanchez is working an open guard so Entreri takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sanchez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Entreri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Entreri tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanchez seems to have got his legs back now.
Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Entreri dives on top into guard.

Entreri would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Entreri wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Entreri throws a combination. Sanchez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Entreri keeps the fight on the outside.

Entreri catches Sanchez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Entreri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez.
Artemis Entreri seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Entreri takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sanchez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Entreri to the mat! Entreri manages to get full guard.
Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Entreri swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Entreri pushes a forearm under Sanchez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sanchez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
