5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quantrell Bishop! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop stuffs the takedown attempt from Muy Malas. Muy Malas gets slowly back to his feet. Muy Malas moves into the clinch. A right hand to the body from Bishop.
Bishop is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bishop. A right hook to the body lands for Bishop.
Bishop breaks the clinch.
Bishop connects with a high kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bishop closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Muy Malas quickly recovers to half guard. Muy Malas controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Muy Malas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Muy Malas looking for a sweep. Not yet Muy Malas, not yet. Muy Malas is working an open guard so Bishop takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Muy Malas scores with a jab to the body. Muy Malas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bishop's guard. Muy Malas is pushing down on Bishop's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bishop is fighting to maintain full guard but Muy Malas has managed to sneak the leg through. Muy Malas thows a huge punch but Bishop dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Muy Malas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bishop! Muy Malas dominating with strikes here. Muy Malas landing strikes, looking to finish! Bishop blocking the ground and pound. Poor strikes thrown by Muy Malas there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bishop really wants to buck Muy Malas off and get back to his feet. Muy Malas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bishop can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muy Malas thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Muy Malas misses with a head shot. BOOM! Muy Malas connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Muy Malas lands a heavy elbow. Muy Malas fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That was a close round but I would say that Cosas Muy Malas will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Muy Malas wants to control but Bishop is keeping him busy. Muy Malas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bishop pushes Muy Malas away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Muy Malas gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Muy Malas is trying to ground and pound but Bishop uses the momentary lack of control by Muy Malas to regain half guard. Bishop is not content to let Muy Malas control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muy Malas is looking for a kimura but Bishop is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Muy Malas to get the leverage. Bishop is not content to let Muy Malas control the position. Muy Malas wants to pass the guard but Bishop is defending well. Muy Malas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bishop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bishop blocking the ground and pound attempt from Muy Malas. Bishop avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Muy Malas. Muy Malas is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Bishop wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Muy Malas trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cosas Muy Malas dominated that second round. That's time! Muy Malas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Bishop looks to clinch and Muy Malas counters with an outside leg kick.

Muy Malas manages to regain half guard. Good work. Muy Malas wants to control the action here but instead Bishop manages to pass to full mount! Muy Malas is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop wants to stand but Muy Malas has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muy Malas wants to improve his position but Bishop is controlling well.
Muy Malas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bishop's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bishop's back! Will Muy Malas go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Quantrell Bishop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Muy Malas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
