Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paruna Fernandino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Man Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandino has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man Ray is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paruna Fernandino ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Man Ray! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fernandino counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ray with a lazy takedown attempt letting Fernandino counter with a right hand. Ray moves out of range of the strikes. Fernandino misses with a looping right. Ray is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fernandino 's half guard. Ray seems to be working for a kimura but Fernandino defends the submission attempt. Ray is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fernandino is just riding it out for now. Ray eventually gives up the hold. Ray is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fernandino is breathing heavily. Ray is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fernandino doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ray. Fernandino tries to kick Ray off but Ray keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ray is working for a kimura but Fernandino is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ray is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fernandino is just riding it out for now. Ray eventually gives up the hold. Ray looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ray is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ray jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fernandino manages to avoid the submission attempt. Ray looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ray working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fernandino pushes Ray off and gets back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fernandino is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Fernandino throws a combination that misses and Ray counters with a single leg into guard. Fernandino didn't expect that. Ray drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fernandino manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ray has Fernandino in his guard. Ray wants to sweep here but Fernandino controlling him for the moment. Ray isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fernandino stacks Ray on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fernandino !

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ray manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ray moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Fernandino . Ray is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fernandino has escaped the position, nice work there. Fernandino throws Ray to one side and escapes! Ray gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fernandino counters with a single leg into guard. Ray didn't expect that.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paruna Fernandino will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fernandino trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ray is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fernandino has escaped the position, nice work there. Ray tries for a kimura but Fernandino is defending well. Ray is trying to get an arm triangle but Fernandino is defending well.
