Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia has chosen The Complexions- I only have eyes for you as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Garcia down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Garcia back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Silva wants to clinch up but Garcia keeps it at a distance.
Silva lands a slapping body shot.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away
and Garcia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Garcia throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Garcia finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Garcia advances position into side control!
Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Garcia gets to mount! Silva was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Garcia's attempts to control the action.
Garcia is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off.
Garcia content just to control the position here.
Silva is working to get back to half guard.
Garcia postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.

Garcia unloads with some shots from mount but Silva bucks and avoids them well.
Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Garcia has a good base and remains in mount.

Garcia working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Silva turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Garcia off and cradles Silva's limp body as Garcia celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Marcelo Garcia!
