Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cyril Salace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen M.A.D as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salace closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into King's guard.

King is looking for a triangle but Salace pushes his legs off easily.

Salace is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
King keeping full guard, as Salace tries to pass.

King looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Salace is going oldschool here, as he tries to force King to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so King shrugs it off.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
King is looking to regain half guard here but Salace keeps moving and retains side control.
Salace tries to advance to mount but can't.
King tries to improve position but can't.
King is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Salace's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Salace pulls his head out easily.
