Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mighty Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Szerszen Szerszen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szerszen stuffs the takedown attempt from Mouse. Mouse gets slowly back to his feet.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Szerszen scores with a head kick.
Szerszen tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Mouse decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Szerszen's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mouse gets tackled into the cage by Szerszen. Szerszen maintains the clinch.

Mouse jumps guard but Szerszen stands there with Mouse around his waist. Mouse gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Szerszen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mouse prevents it.

Mouse wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Szerszen has him pressed against the cage.

Mouse turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Szerszen tries to bench press Mouse off him but Mouse keeps the position.
Szerszen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mouse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mouse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Szerszen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mouse wants to sweep here but Szerszen controlling him for the moment.

Mouse working for submissions but it's allowed Szerszen to get to half guard.
Szerszen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That was a close round but I would say that Mighty Mouse will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mouse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Szerszen as he jumps to the side.

Mouse gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Szerszen regains guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mouse accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mouse wants to control from the top but Szerszen keeps moving.
Szerszen has control of Mouse's left arm, preventing Mouse from doing any damage.
Mouse works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mouse is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mouse is pressed up against the cage. Szerszen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mouse down to the mat. Mouse avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mouse fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Szerszen to the ground. Mouse is now in Szerszen's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mouse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
