Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Carlito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tommy Carlito has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlito lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Philip Gray has been cut. Gray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlito tries to avoid it but Gray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlito to the ground. Carlito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gray misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carlito lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gray will feel that in the morning. Gray looks gassed! Carlito tries to bum rush Gray with a series of wild strikes but Gray uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carlito paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carlito pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gray back to the cage. Carlito follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Gray gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlito tries to escape but Gray is in control. Carlito is trying to control Gray's posture but Gray avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlito gets back to half guard. Carlito wants to get back to his feet. Gray sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carlito defending well though. Gray thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Carlito controlling the position well.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Gray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Carlito is looking to control Gray's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carlito avoid being mounted?
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tommy Carlito wasn't doing enough on the ground. Gray moves in looking to clinch but Carlito pushes him off. Carlito misses with a double jab
and Gray counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carlito's guard now. Carlito looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gray loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gray accidentally thumps the mat. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carlito gets back to full guard.

Carlito is fighting to maintain full guard but Gray has managed to sneak the leg through. Carlito blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gray. Gray seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Gray missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gray not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carlito trying to control but Gray postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carlito is controlling Gray's trapped leg to prevent Gray from advancing to side control. Carlito is looking to improve his position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Carlito will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Philip Gray's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gray is positioning himself well to prevent Carlito advancing to mount. Gray tries to roll over but Carlito keeps him under control. Gray is trying is best to control the position here. Gray is trying to maintain the position but Carlito is very close to passing his half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Philip Gray hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Gray drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carlito looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gray is one step ahead there. Carlito is working hard here to advance position. That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Gray is desperately trying to improve his position but Carlito has a good base and remains in mount. Carlito can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gray is looking to escape. Gray keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carlito takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlito connects with a body shot. Gray on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gray on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Carlito scores with a kick to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carlito is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Tommy Carlito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carlito goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The cut above Philip Gray's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Gray shoots and misses and Carlito counters with a low kick, right behind Gray 's knee. Gray avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Carlito showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carlito, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
