Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Smokey McPot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bushi Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPot kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is D.T.A.P. - Nephew. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Smokey McPot!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bushi Ishikawa!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishikawa ducks under a wild hook from McPot.
Ishikawa scores with a jab. McPot acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ishikawa tries to work over McPot's front leg with a kick but McPot checks it.
Ishikawa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McPot.
McPot throws a nice looking combination but Ishikawa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McPot darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McPot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ishikawa throws a one two combo.
McPot misses with a head kick.
Ishikawa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ishikawa thuds a left hand into McPot's body.
McPot thows a body kick. Ishikawa tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McPot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ishikawa - the referee stops the clock and McPot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ishikawa. McPot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

McPot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ishikawa was well out of range. Poor timing from McPot.

McPot fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ishikawa tries to score a power double leg takedown but McPot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ishikawa somewhat.
Ishikawa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smokey McPot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ishikawa throws a hook to the side of McPot's head but McPot sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McPot connects with a crisp jab.

Ishikawa has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Ishikawa counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ishikawa is looking to work some ground and pound but McPot has wrist control.

McPot keeping moving, preventing Ishikawa from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ishikawa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Ishikawa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ishikawa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McPot's guard.
Ishikawa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for McPot to stand up.
Ishikawa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McPot attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ishikawa throws a hook to the side of McPot's head but McPot sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Ishikawa counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McPot throws a lazy right hand but Ishikawa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Good leg kick by McPot there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and McPot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ishikawa shoots and misses
and McPot makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ishikawa really felt that one!
McPot tries to land a front kick but Ishikawa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ishikawa shoots in looking for a takedown but McPot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ishikawa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smokey McPot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bushi Ishikawa.

It looks like Smokey McPot has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Ishikawa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McPot lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McPot.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Ishikawa! McPot is hurt baaadly! Ishikawa is firing away with more strikes - McPot is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
