Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kazansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edan Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazansky comes into the arena with Danger Zone blaring out of the sound system. Edan Lewis acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazansky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lewis, pushing him back against the cage.

Lewis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lewis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kazansky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lewis to the mat! Lewis manages to get full guard.
Lewis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kazansky is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kazansky is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kazansky bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazansky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Edan Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kazansky instigates a clinch.
Lewis wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kazansky jumps guard and drags Lewis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kazansky seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kazansky lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Lewis tries to keep at a distance but Kazansky has taken the fight into the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kazansky stacks Lewis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kazansky!

Kazansky darts in and clinches Lewis up against the cage.

Kazansky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kazansky has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lewis uses from the top position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Kazansky has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
