Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santeri Reijasalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Go DJ by Lil Wayne. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santeri Reijasalo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Jones! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reijasalo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Reijasalo. Reijasalo has his takedown stuffed letting Jones counter with a right hand. Reijasalo has his takedown stuffed enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santeri Reijasalo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reijasalo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Jones connects with a right hand. Reijasalo shakes it off. Reijasalo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reijasalo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Reijasalo wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reijasalo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones prevents Reijasalo from improving his position. Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jones working Reijasalo over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to mount his opponent but Reijasalo defends it. Reijasalo has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jones lands with a punch from half guard. Reijasalo tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Reijasalo is trying to get back to full guard. Jones throwing shots but Reijasalo is blocking nicely. Reijasalo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reijasalo is looking to improve his position.
Jones is nestled in close to Reijasalo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jones trying to mount his opponent but Reijasalo defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reijasalo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reijasalo defends it well. Nice strikes from Jones there.
It looks like Santeri Reijasalo has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reijasalo manages to get to full guard.
Reijasalo wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Reijasalo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones stands and throws Reijasalo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jones working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Santeri Reijasalo's cut is getting worse. Jones cracks Reijasalo with a big elbow.
Santeri Reijasalo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Check out the look on Jones's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jeez, Santeri Reijasalo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Santeri Reijasalo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
