Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shane Carwin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore tries a head kick but it misses.
Moore throws a solid leg kick but Carwin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Moore.

and Carwin moves into the clinch.
Carwin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Moore.
Moore is trying to drag Carwin to the mat but Carwin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Carwin manages to break the clinch.

Moore shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Carwin is not content to let Moore control the position.

Moore tried to score with a low kick but Carwin checks it.

Carwin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moore tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Carwin is in Moore's guard.

and Carwin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moore won't be happy with that.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Moore gets back to half guard.
Moore tries to get to full guard but Carwin has control of the leg.
Carwin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Carwin is stalling here. Moore is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Carwin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Moore has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Moore stands up and beckons Carwin to his feet.

Moore tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Carwin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moore wants to clinch up but Carwin keeps it at a distance.

Moore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Moore decides to stand back up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carwin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moore's guard.

Shane Carwin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
