3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pacho Mendieta! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green misses with a double jab
letting Mendieta counter with a right hand. Some wild striking there from Green.
Mendieta throws a leg kick which misses Green's front leg but catches the back leg as Green tries to avoid it. Mendieta misses with a straight left. Green throws a right hand that misses
and Mendieta counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Green misses with a jab to the body
and Mendieta counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Green throws a combination that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Mendieta misses with a head kick.

Pacho Mendieta is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Green takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Mendieta cracks the inside of Green's front leg. Pacho Mendieta seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mendieta lands the left hand. Green throws an off balance right hand

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Green. Well Mendieta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
