Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wisut Rujjaseve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Rua!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rujjaseve fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rua, pushing him back against the cage.
Rujjaseve is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rua gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rujjaseve tries to pull guard but Rua holds him up against the cage and eventually Rujjaseve drops back down to his feet.
Rua's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rujjaseve lands with a slapping head kick.
Rua thows a body kick. Rujjaseve tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Rujjaseve is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rua misses with a series of wild punches.
Rujjaseve wants to stay close but Rua steps back to make room for something. Rujjaseve seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Rua and Rujjaseve drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mauricio Rua!
