Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry De Paula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jacob Whyte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry De Paula! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Paula tries to clinch but Whyte moves out of range. Whyte misses with a takedown attempt and De Paula counters by clinching up. De Paula jumps guard but Whyte stands there with De Paula around his waist. De Paula gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Whyte is leaning against De Paula and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Whyte drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A frustrated look appears on De Paula's face as he tries to break the clinch. Whyte manages to break the clinch.
Whyte tries to bum rush De Paula with a series of wild strikes but De Paula uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Whyte misses with a takedown and De Paula counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Whyte. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whyte is not content to let De Paula control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Paula is trying to move to mount but Whyte reverses beautifully and ends up in De Paula's guard. Whyte stops De Paula from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte sitting in guard here, content to control. De Paula wants to sweep here but Whyte controlling him for the moment. Whyte is stalling in the full guard. De Paula looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whyte is one step ahead there. Whyte throwing strikes from guard but De Paula blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jacob Whyte has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. De Paula with a lazy takedown attempt and Whyte counters with a leg kick. De Paula misses with the combination.
Whyte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Whyte creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Whyte in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Whyte staying calm. Whyte stands up and beckons De Paula to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Paula lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Whyte circles away quickly and effectively. De Paula closes the distance but Whyte moves to the side and Whyte counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Whyte stands up and waves to De Paula to follow him. Whyte throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by De Paula. Whyte shoots in and bounces De Paula off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Whyte is breathing heavily. Whyte postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Paula throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Whyte showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Whyte trying to control but De Paula is working from the bottom. Whyte is looking to stand up but De Paula won't let him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. De Paula wants to sweep but no luck.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Well, if Whyte is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Whyte is nestled in close to De Paula, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Whyte throwing shots but De Paula is blocking nicely. Whyte is thwarting De Paula's attempts to control the position. De Paula regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Whyte engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Whyte drives through with a takedown into De Paula's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. De Paula looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whyte is one step ahead there. Whyte content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Paula wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Whyte is now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whyte stalling. De Paula is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Whyte throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Paula wants to control but Whyte is keeping busy and won't allow it. Whyte decides to stand up. Whyte takes a swing at De Paula's ribcage but misses. Whyte goes for a high kick. It partially lands. De Paula takes one on the button. Whyte has his takedown stuffed and De Paula counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. De Paula wants to lay and pray for a moment but Whyte keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whyte is pressing down on De Paula's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. De Paula won't allow Whyte to get back to his feet. Whyte is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! De Paula rolls with it to try and escape but Whyte cranks on the arm and De Paula is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
