Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bariga Cocainich!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocainich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bakradze pinned against the cage. Bakradze gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bakradze throws a leg kick
and Cocainich counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cocainich throwing strikes but missing.
Cocainich wants to control from the top but Bakradze keeps moving.
Bakradze looking for a guillotine here but Cocainich defends easily.
Bakradze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cocainich pushes down on Bakradze's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bakradze trying to control from the bottom.
Bakradze wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cocainich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bakradze keeps working.
Cocainich not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bakradze is staying active underneath Cocainich, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cocainich working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bakradze tries to get to full guard but Cocainich has control of the leg.
Cocainich looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bakradze with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Cocainich wants to pass to mount but Bakradze is defending the position.
Bakradze is trying to maintain the position but Cocainich is very close to passing his half guard.
Cocainich moves into full mount! Bakradze won't be happy about that!
Cocainich has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cocainich jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bakradze manages to avoid the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cocainich trying to control the action but Bakradze is working from the bottom.
Cocainich has an Americana. Bakradze didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cocainich is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cocainich hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bariga Cocainich!
