Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Player (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Player has chosen Bettie Grind - I'm Floatin' as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Bo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Player! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Player connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bo momentarily.
Bo misses with a low kick.
Player lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Player throws a lazy uppercut
and Bo counters with a stiff right hand. Bo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A leg kick checked by Player. Bo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Player as he jumps to the side. A right-left combo lands from Player. Nice shot by Bo. Bo dives in and grabs Player's left leg, looking for a takedown. Player pushes down on Bo's head and hops out. Player throws a series of punches but Bo moves out of range. A jab lands there for Player. Player looks to land a combination. Bo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Player falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bo counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Player can't keep his opponent in guard - Bo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Player pushes Bo off looking to stand but Bo dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bo controlling from the full mount. Bo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Player is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bo controlling his opponent. Bo wants to control the pace but Player is squirming around nicely. Player wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Player looks gassed! Bo tries to control but Player wriggling away. Bo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Player manages to avoid the submission attempt. Player is trying to get back to his feet. Bo wants to control but Player is keeping him busy. Player tries to escape but Bo is in control. Bo is looking to take a break and control but Player is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Player wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Player defending against the ground and pound. Bo wants to control but Player is keeping him busy. Player is trying to get back to his feet. Player is being controlled here. Player is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bo is controlling him well. Player tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Bo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Player connects with a single shot there. Player lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Player. Player misses with the combination.

Bo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Player throws a hook but Bo blocks it. Bo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Player throws a series of punches but Bo avoids them all with ease. Bo looks for a takedown but Player sprawls well. Bo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Player looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Player is trying to buck Bo off. Bo stands up and we're back to a striking position. Gary Player is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Player swings widly with a right hand
and Bo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Player is breathing heavily. Bo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Player is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bo is controlling him. Bo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bo won't allow Player to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jim Bo. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bo.
Bo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Player lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Bo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Player did well to prevent Bo getting side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Player is trying to stand back up but Bo is controlling him
Bo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Player keeps working. Bo trying to mount his opponent but Player defends it. Bo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Player is looking to escape. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bo in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jim Bo just wasn't active enough. Bo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Player has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Player connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Player connects with a body shot. Bo shoots for a double leg takedown but Player sprawls well. He's pushed Bo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A slow jab from Player misses its intended target. Gary Player seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
No luck for Bo with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Bo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Player lands a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Player misses with a lunging right hand
and Bo counters with a left to the body. Player tries to bum rush Bo with a series of wild strikes but Bo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Player might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Player moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Player works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Player looks to land a combination but Bo avoids it well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bo throws a low kick but Player moves out of range easily. Player misses the shot to the body. Player has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Player throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bo counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Bo dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Player takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim Bo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bo stays in close to Player's body and controls the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Player wants to stand up but Bo is controlling him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Player looks to land a combination but Bo avoids it well. Player misses with a double jab.
Bo scores with a takedown into Player's guard. Player is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bo is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Player keeping full guard, as Bo tries to pass. Bo controls from within his opponent's guard. Player wants to stand and escape but Bo is having none of it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Player keeping moving, preventing Bo from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Bo or perhaps it was just good defense by Player which made him look bad. Player tests Bo's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gary Player is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Player chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bo can pounce on him.
Player looks to score with a jab to the body but Bo is just out of range. Nice sprawl there from Player as Bo shoots in. Nice shot by Player. Bo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Player swings for the body but Bo moves out of range.

and Bo counters with a single leg into guard. Player didn't expect that. Player is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bo is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bo looking to pass the guard. Player wants to stand up but Bo is controlling him. Bo gets to his feet. Player looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Player throws a right hand that Bo ducks under and follows up with a left that Bo also avoids with ease. Player scores with a nice strike. Player displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bo throws out the jab. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Player throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bo. Player lands a really nice looking cross but Bo seems unphased.
Gary Player has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Player throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Player won't be happy with that.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Bo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
