PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessie Mick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mick darts in trying to clinch
and Brock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Brock shoots in looking for a takedown but Mick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

so Brock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Brock throws an elbow but Mick slips to the side and avoids it well.
Mick takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brock looks up at the clock and then as Mick takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Brock smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Brock creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mick sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Brock passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mick!
Brock lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
