Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Totoy Bato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Retsu Kaioh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Totoy Bato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Retsu Kaioh! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaioh tries to clinch up. Bato misses with a body shot
and Kaioh counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bato is lucky that one didn't land flush. Kaioh takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bato jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kaioh walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bato checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kaioh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kaioh looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A looping hook to the body misses from Kaioh. Bato does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaioh throws a wild body kick that Bato sees coming a mile off. Kaioh misses with a low kick. Bato takes a kick to the side of the head. Nice uppercut there from Bato. Bato misses with an uppercut. Kaioh defending well as Bato loads up on a big left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kaioh lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bato has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bato and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kaioh fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bato is out of range. Kaioh looks for the body kick but Bato saw that one coming. Kaioh looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Kaioh misses with a low kick. Kaioh dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bato. That did some damage!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bato misses with a left hand and Kaioh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Kaioh misses with a straight right. Bato checks a low kick from Kaioh. Kaioh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bato swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kaioh lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bato backs up against the cage.
Bato throws a body punch but Kaioh moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Kaioh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bato throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kaioh sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bato avoids the head kick by Kaioh.
Bato tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaioh was well out of range. Poor timing from Bato. Kaioh moves out of range as Bato strikes. Bato misses with a left hand and Kaioh counters with a low kick, right behind Bato 's knee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Retsu Kaioh dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kaioh lands a nice looking body kick. Kaioh looks to clinch and Bato counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kaioh fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bato. A shot to the liver by Bato. Beautiful body shot. Kaioh dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kaioh takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kaioh moves in looking to clinch but Bato pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaioh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bato throws out the jab. Kaioh fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bato misses with a body punch
and Kaioh counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bato's knee momentarily. Nice defenses there by Kaioh. Bato checks a leg kick nicely. Bato keeps the fight on the outside. Retsu Kaioh seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kaioh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kaioh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bato throws a shot from downtown. Kaioh moves away and avoids it. Kaioh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bato's head backwards. Bato throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kaioh on the side of the head. Kaioh lands a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaioh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bato swings for the body but Kaioh moves out of range.
Bato misses with a body shot.
Kaioh swings away with a leg kick that misses. Bato just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kaioh does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kaioh is looking to slow Bato down with leg kicks. Bato misses with a hook
and Kaioh makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kaioh throws a low kick but Bato moves out of range easily. Kaioh misses the shot to the body. Kaioh slips under a jab from Bato. Bato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kaioh moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Retsu Kaioh will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Bato rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kaioh counters with a low kick, right behind Bato 's knee. Kaioh scores with a head kick. Bato tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Kaioh attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Bato looks to score with a jab to the body but Kaioh is just out of range. Kaioh tries to clinch up but Bato circles away and keeps his distance. Bato stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kaioh. A bone on bone clash there as Bato blocks the leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaioh throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A head kick misses from Kaioh. Some bone on bone action there as Bato checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bato on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kaioh closes the distance but Bato moves to the side and Bato counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Totoy Bato has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bato checks the leg kick. Kaioh throws an off balance right hand
and Bato counters with a stiff right hand. A big right from Bato misses. Kaioh misses with a looping left. Kaioh ducks under a wild hook from Bato. Bato comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bato avoids the head kick by Kaioh.
Bato cracks Kaioh with an open hand slap. Bato throws a poor cross that misses
and Kaioh counters with a two punch combo. Kaioh throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kaioh tries to close the distance and clinch but Bato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kaioh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kaioh slips a jab from Bato.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bato swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kaioh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bato throws an overhand right that lands on Kaioh's shoulder, as Kaioh tries to avoid the shot. A nice combination there by Kaioh.
Bato avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kaioh drops his hands momentarily and Bato takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Retsu Kaioh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Retsu Kaioh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kaioh misses with a wild body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Retsu Kaioh. Well Kaioh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
