PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rice Gayce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spence has chosen Gimme Back My Bullets as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spence shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Spence was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Spence throws a wild left hand from mount and Gayce manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Spence misses with a head shot. Gayce uses the momentum to regain guard.

Spence really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gayce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gayce is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Spence is in trouble now - Gayce has advanced to mount!

Spence throws a strike but Gayce rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Gayce lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Gayce.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Rice Gayce will probably get the nod.

Gayce is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Spence rolls with it to try and escape but Gayce cranks on the arm and Spence is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
