Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Orange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Negreanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Negreanu's choice of entrance music: Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Orange! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Negreanu! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orange scores with a hook. Negreanu closes the distance but Orange moves to the side and Orange counters with a big head kick but Negreanu shrugs it off. A nice inside leg kick there by Orange. That's going to slow Negreanu down. Jake Orange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Negreanu misses. A head kick misses from Orange. Orange moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Negreanu closes the distance and clinches up with Orange, looking for a takedown. Negreanu pushes Orange against the cage but Orange circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orange throws a looping overhand right but Negreanu ducks down to avoid it. Orange throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Negreanu counters with a lovely shot to the body. Orange stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Negreanu. Orange keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Orange throws a sloppy head kick and Negreanu moves out of range easily. Orange thows a leg kick but Negreanu checks it and Negreanu counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orange tries to land a body kick and Negreanu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Negreanu lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Orange makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Orange. Orange trying to control the position.
Negreanu working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Orange's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Negreanu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orange is looking to sweep but instead, Negreanu has passed into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orange is pressing down on Negreanu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Orange keeping moving, preventing Negreanu from controlling successfully. Orange trying to control the position here. Negreanu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orange swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Negreanu advances to half guard. Orange is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Orange is holding on to half guard well. Negreanu performing his best blanket impression for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Orange tries to roll over but Negreanu keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Daniel Negreanu will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Orange motions for Negreanu to come forward. Orange throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Orange thuds his right hand into Negreanu's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Orange misses with a left hand and Negreanu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Orange misses with a wild body shot. Orange throws a leg kick that is checked and Negreanu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Jake Orange has been cut. Orange keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Orange misses and Negreanu counters with a leg kick. Negreanu is looking to chop away at Orange's legs. The fighters circle momentarily. Orange darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Orange thows a leg kick but Negreanu checks it and Negreanu counters with a nice leg kick. Negreanu cracks the inside of Orange's front leg. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Negreanu misses with a wild body shot.

Negreanu throws a low kick, looking for Orange's leg but Orange calmly moves out of range. Jake Orange is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Orange throws a leg kick that is checked and Negreanu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Negreanu throws a strike but Orange avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Negreanu tries to free his leg and advance position but Orange is retaining full guard. Negreanu trying to control but Orange is working from the bottom. Negreanu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Negreanu fails with a takedown attempt. Negreanu throws a quick inside leg kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Orange.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Orange swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Negreanu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Orange paws at him with a jab and circles away. Orange throws a leg kick and Negreanu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Orange thinking. Negreanu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A low kick from Orange is predictable there and Negreanu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Negreanu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Negreanu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jake Orange's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Negreanu counters with a left to the body. Negreanu connects with an inside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Negreanu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Orange avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Negreanu lands a leg kick that knocks Orange off balance momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Negreanu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Negreanu wants to take a breather but Orange is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orange is positioning himself well to prevent Negreanu advancing to mount. Negreanu is thwarting Orange's attempts to control the position. Negreanu slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake Orange. Negreanu gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Negreanu looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Orange is concentrating on defense, preventing Negreanu from advancing position. Orange is trying to maintain the position but Negreanu is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Negreanu is keen to just control but Orange is a slippery customer. Negreanu content to control rather than advance.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Negreanu fails with the takedown and Orange counters with a three punch combo that has Negreanu backing up. Negreanu nods at Orange to acknowledge the strikes. Orange throws the left hand but Negreanu avoids the punch easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Negreanu was stalling too much, according to the referee. Orange feints and then cracks Negreanu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Negreanu down. Orange lands with a slapping head kick. Negreanu is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Orange rather than just go for the knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orange jabs Negreanu to the body, keeping him at a distance. Negreanu avoids the body shot from Orange.
A low kick from Orange is predictable there and Negreanu counters with a body kick. Negreanu has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Negreanu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Negreanu wants to control the pace but Orange is squirming around nicely. Poor strikes thrown by Negreanu there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jake Orange's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Orange is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Orange is working hard here to advance position. Daniel Negreanu has got the better of the ground game so far. Orange tries to lock up and control but Negreanu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Orange is looking to improve his position but Negreanu isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. BOOM! Negreanu connects with a massive shot to the dome!
