Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Jurez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Batalha Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurez's entrance music is Eagles of Death Metal: Don't Stop ( ICame To Make A Bang). A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurez throws a wild body kick that Silva sees coming a mile off.
Jurez tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva walks into a straight right hand from Jurez.

Silva blocks a low kick nicely.
Jurez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jurez is working away from the top position though.

Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jurez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jurez and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jurez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Silva drives through and clinches with Jurez against the cage.
Jurez tries to land knees in the clinch but Silva avoids the damage to the body.

Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jurez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jurez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jurez apologises and we restart here on the feet.
