Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloisio Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Halperin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halperin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Halperin!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant misses with a hook
and Halperin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Giant controlling Halperin's posture.
Halperin pushing down on Giant's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Halperin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Giant is trying to control but can't.

Giant makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Giant.
Halperin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Giant connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Giant counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Halperin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Giant makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Giant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Giant counters with a slapping leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Halperin counters with a single leg into guard. Giant didn't expect that.

enabling Giant to counter with a crisp jab.

and Halperin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Giant!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Halperin looking to control but Giant is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Halperin prevents Giant from getting the reversal.
Giant is just holding on here. Halperin manages to take his back.
Halperin trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Giant doesn't escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aloisio Giant will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Giant has a hand on Halperin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Halperin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Halperin is trying to take his opponent's back.
Halperin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Giant to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Giant shrugs it off.
Giant regains half guard.
Giant keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Giant is staying active underneath Halperin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Giant is looking for a sweep. Halperin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Giant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halperin is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Halperin wants to control but Giant is keeping him busy.
Halperin is looking for a kimura here.
Halperin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Giant is staying active underneath Halperin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Daniel Halperin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Giant has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
