Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Ooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yrjo Puska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Puska's choice of entrance music: GWB -rap. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Ooka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yrjo Puska! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puska misses with an uppercut. Puska tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A shot to the liver by Puska. Beautiful body shot. Ooka throws out a loose jab but Puska uses good head movement to avoid it. Puska is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Ooka lunges at Puska with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Puska's hand. Puska is looking to clinch. Ooka lands a head kick that stumbles Puska and the fighters go to the mat.
Puska is rocked! Ooka won't allow Puska to get back to his feet. Puska is still in real trouble! Can Ooka finish him? Ooka wants to pass the guard but Puska is keeping the position. Puska seems to have recovered his senses. Ooka throws a strike but Puska rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ooka looking for a guillotine here but Puska defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ooka throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Puska wants to stand but Ooka is controlling his posture from full guard. Puska stays in close to Ooka's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Puska tries to free his leg and advance position but Ooka is retaining full guard. Ooka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Puska controls the pace. Ooka trying to keep a closed guard but Puska is proving a slippery customer.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yrjo Puska wasn't active enough on the ground. Puska cracks Ooka with an open hand slap. A head kick misses from Puska. Ooka misses with a straight right. Puska takes a swing at Ooka's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ooka closes the distance and clinches up with Puska, looking for a takedown. Ooka pushes Puska against the cage but Puska circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Puska fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ooka manages to avoid it. Puska misses with a few strikes there.

Puska throws a leg kick that misses. Ooka misses with a straight right. Yrjo Puska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puska throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Ooka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ooka throws a big right hand that misses. Ooka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Puska is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooka prevents Puska from getting back to his feet. Ooka is looking to advance position but Puska has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Ooka is working to get back to half guard.
Ooka is squirming around, avoiding Puska's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ooka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Puska pinned against the cage. Puska gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Puska swings for the body but Ooka moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ooka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Puska counters with a series of strikes. Ooka will be more careful next time no doubt. Puska pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ooka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Puska.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puska takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ooka misses with a wild body shot. Puska fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Puska throws a jab when Ooka was well out of range. Ooka fails to land the takedown. Ooka gets caught flat footed, as Puska shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ooka trying to control the position here. Puska wanted to stand there but Ooka had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ooka uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Puska gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ooka blocking some punches.
Ooka looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Ooka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Puska lands an uppercut. Ooka tries for a takedown but Puska manages to get underhooks.

Ooka has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Puska avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Puska swings wildly with an uppercut but Ooka uses good head movement to avoid it. Puska makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Puska lands a hook to the side of the head. A short left from Puska. Puska is pressed up against the cage. Ooka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Puska down to the mat. Puska avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Puska moves in looking to clinch but Ooka pushes him off. Puska moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Puska feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ookas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Puska throws a push kick but Ooka slaps the foot to one side. Ooka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Puska counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ooka thinking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Puska rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ooka moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Puska tries to clinch up. Ooka swats away the attempt to clinch by Puska. Puska swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ooka counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ooka wants to control but Puska is keeping him busy. Ooka wants to pass to mount but Puska is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Yrjo Puska will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Ooka walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ooka throws a predictable looking body shot
and Puska counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Puska. Puska prevents Ooka from getting back to his feet. Puska decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ooka, up you get! Some wild striking there from Ooka.
Puska fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ooka on the side of the head. Puska shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ooka napping and manages to drive through into side control! Puska decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ooka to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puska motions for Ooka to come forward. Puska throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Puska scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Puska fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ooka manages to avoid it. Ooka gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ooka misses with a looping left. Puska tries to clinch there but Ooka circles away.
A big left from Puska misses. Puska scores with a sloppy right hand. Ooka should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ooka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Puska will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Puska is pressed up against the cage. Ooka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Puska down to the mat. Puska avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ooka swats away the attempt to clinch by Puska. Puska tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ooka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ooka showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Puska.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Puska throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ooka on the side of the head. Ooka misses with a wild body shot. Puska throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ooka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Puska tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Ooka misses the target. Paul Ooka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Puska scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that's the end of the fight! Yrjo Puska comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Puska has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
