Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Janos Prohaska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prohaska swings away with a body shot that misses
and Suzuki counters with a slapping leg kick. Suzuki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Prohaska manages to avoid it. Suzuki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Prohaska's calf. Suzuki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Prohaska on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A shot to the body from Prohaska misses and Suzuki counters with a low kick, right behind Prohaska 's knee. Prohaska misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Prohaska blocks a low kick nicely. Prohaska throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Suzuki slips under a jab. Suzuki thows a body shot but no joy. Prohaska's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Prohaska duly obliges. Janos Prohaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suzuki throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Prohaska takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Prohaska scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suzuki is bucking up trying to escape but Prohaska cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Prohaska trying to control but he's not successful this time. Prohaska prevents Suzuki from getting the reversal. Suzuki holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Prohaska tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Suzuki manages to regain half guard. Good work. Suzuki is looking to control Prohaska's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Suzuki avoid being mounted? Prohaska missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Suzuki has hold of Prohaska's hands but Prohaska slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Prohaska is thwarting Suzuki's attempts to control the position. Prohaska seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prohaska is trying to control. Suzuki wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Suzuki gets back to full guard.
Prohaska with a flurry of punches that miss. Suzuki working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Prohaska. Prohaska postures up.
Suzuki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Prohaska's guard. Prohaska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Prohaska keeping moving, preventing Suzuki from controlling successfully. Prohaska has control of Suzuki's left arm, preventing Suzuki from doing any damage. Suzuki works over Prohaska with some ground and pound from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suzuki throws a strike but Prohaska rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Suzuki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prohaska is one step ahead there. Suzuki trying to control the position.
Suzuki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Prohaska controls the position. Suzuki throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Prohaska because Suzuki loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janos Prohaska dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Suzuki looks to land a left hand but Prohaska moved out of range nicely. Suzuki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Prohaska moves away. Prohaska checks a leg kick. Prohaska misses with a kick to the body and Suzuki counters with a head kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prohaska lands with a nice body punch. Prohaska catches Suzuki with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Suzuki connects with a body shot that sends Prohaska's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzuki fails with a takedown attempt. Prohaska throws a push kick but Suzuki slaps the foot to one side. Suzuki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Prohaska throws a lazy head kick and Suzuki counters with a flying knee. Nice. Suzuki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Prohaska.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Prohaska misses with a leg kick and Suzuki counters with a straight right hand. Prohaska just misses with a punch to the body.

and Suzuki counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A low kick from Prohaska misses and Suzuki counters with a right hand to the body. Prohaska tries to score a power double leg takedown but Suzuki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Prohaska somewhat. Prohaska connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prohaska looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Suzuki connects with an inside leg kick. Prohaska explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. That's four minutes gone in the round. Prohaska throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Suzuki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Janos Prohaska is winning the standup battle so far. Prohaska fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Suzuki manages to avoid it. Prohaska misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Suzuki counters with a good low kick that Prohaska was not able to check. Prohaska misses with a double jab
and Suzuki counters with a leg kick. Prohaska fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A close second round but Thiago Suzuki will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up with Prohaska, looking for a takedown. Suzuki pushes Prohaska against the cage but Prohaska circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Prohaska swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Suzuki counters with an outside leg kick.

and Suzuki counters with a shoot takedown. Prohaska fights it but they end up in guard. Suzuki is looking to work some ground and pound but Prohaska has wrist control. Prohaska utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Suzuki trying to control the position from guard on top but Prohaska is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suzuki throws and elbow that misses. Prohaska uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Suzuki's guard. Nice move by Prohaska!
That's one minute gone in the round. Prohaska controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Suzuki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prohaska is one step ahead there. Prohaska trying to control the position from guard on top but Suzuki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suzuki trying to keep a closed guard but Prohaska is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Suzuki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Prohaska throws a lazy head kick and Suzuki counters with a slapping leg kick. Prohaska will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Prohaska throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Suzuki's waist but Suzuki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prohaska off to one side. Prohaska misses the body punch and Suzuki counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Prohaska is lucky that one didn't land flush. Prohaska misses with a double jab
and Suzuki counters with a slapping leg kick. Prohaska throws a big shot that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Prohaska swings widly with a right hand
and Suzuki counters with an inside leg kick. Prohaska is looking to wear down Suzuki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Prohaska blocks a head kick by Suzuki.

and Suzuki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Prohaska looks to score with a jab to the body but Suzuki is just out of range. Janos Prohaska is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Suzuki throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Prohaska is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Suzuki takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Prohaska misses and Suzuki counters with a nice leg kick. Prohaska looks for a takedown but Suzuki sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Janos Prohaska. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prohaska takes a swing at Suzuki's ribcage but misses. Prohaska throws a body kick the misses and Suzuki counters with a leg kick. Prohaska throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Thiago Suzuki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Suzuki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
