Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Howard!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard misses with a hook to the body
letting Overeem counter with a right hand.
Howard misses the body punch
and Overeem counters with a good low kick that Howard was not able to check.
Howard looks gassed!

and Overeem makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Overeem throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Howard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Overeem catches Howard napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Howard to the canvas!

Overeem wants to get up but he can't break Howard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Overeem drops his shoulder and cracks Howard with a huge uppercut! Howard goes down! Can Overeem finish him?

Howard backs away from a small jab...but Overeem lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Howard crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Overeem with a spectacular finish!
