Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Wanijima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Kolesnichenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kaito Wanijima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denis Kolesnichenko! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wanijima gets caught napping as Kolesnichenko dives in and scores a takedown. Wanijima manages to retain guard. Kolesnichenko trying to control but Wanijima is working from the bottom. Wanijima pulls Kolesnichenko in to control the position. Kolesnichenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Wanijima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Denis Kolesnichenko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Kolesnichenko tries to sprawl but Wanijima drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kolesnichenko is refusing to be controlled, as Wanijima sits in half guard. Kolesnichenko trying to control but Wanijima postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolesnichenko wants to improve his position but Wanijima is controlling well.
Wanijima is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wanijima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kolesnichenko keeps working. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kaito Wanijima just wasn't active enough. Wanijima is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kolesnichenko's half guard. Wanijima missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kolesnichenko actively working from the bottom here. Wanijima wants to pass the guard but Kolesnichenko is defending well. Wanijima is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kolesnichenko is pressing down on Wanijima's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kolesnichenko looking to control.
Kolesnichenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wanijima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kolesnichenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wanijima wants to stand but Kolesnichenko is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kolesnichenko controls Wanijima momentarily but Wanijima frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Wanijima is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kolesnichenko controls Wanijima momentarily but Wanijima frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kaito Wanijima just wasn't active enough. Wanijima closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kolesnichenko quickly recovers to half guard. Kolesnichenko is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko is not content to let Wanijima control the position. The fighters are battling for position here. Kolesnichenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Wanijima has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wanijima stopping the sweep attempt from Kolesnichenko. Wanijima wants to control from the top but Kolesnichenko keeps moving. Kolesnichenko is trying to keep Wanijima in close.
Kolesnichenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wanijima's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kolesnichenko stopping the sweep attempt from Wanijima. Kolesnichenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Wanijima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaito Wanijima dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Kolesnichenko doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wanijima counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wanijima is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kolesnichenko sees it coming and defends easily. Kolesnichenko trying to control but Wanijima postures up.
Kolesnichenko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wanijima's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wanijima's back! Will Kolesnichenko go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Kaito Wanijima overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kolesnichenko not allowing Wanijima to control his hands. Kolesnichenko controlling well, preventing Wanijima from escaping the position.
Well, with Kolesnichenko on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Wanijima is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's one minute gone in the round. Wanijima prevents Kolesnichenko from getting a body triangle. Wanijima is trying to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wanijima tries to escape but Kolesnichenko has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kolesnichenko trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Kolesnichenko wants to control the position but Wanijima frees himself and scrambles - Kolesnichenko manages to regain control in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kolesnichenko has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wanijima! Kolesnichenko misses with a head shot. Wanijima tries to hold on but Kolesnichenko pushes him away. Kolesnichenko controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolesnichenko avoids the attempt from Wanijima to control. Kolesnichenko controlling his opponent. Kolesnichenko throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kolesnichenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wanijima is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kolesnichenko throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wanijima because Kolesnichenko loaded up on that one. Wanijima really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kolesnichenko is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Wanijima is forced to tap! Great finish!
