Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mackin Morning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mackin Morning is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gray Maynard! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morning scores with a jab to the head.
Morning blocks a head kick by Maynard.
Maynard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morning swivels and escapes. Maynard drives through with a takedown into guard. Maynard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morning is proving hard to escape from. Maynard decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Morning, up you get! Maynard misses with a double jab
and Morning counters with a nice leg kick. Morning misses with a jab, cross combination.
Morning throws a one two combo.
It looks like Gray Maynard has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morning lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Morning lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maynard circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maynard looking to score a takedown here. Morning is defending well but Maynard drives through and ends up in Morning's guard. Maynard stops Morning from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maynard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Maynard sitting in guard here, content to control. Morning tries to land a sweep but no joy. Maynard slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gray Maynard was stalling too much, according to the referee. A punch combination from Morning misses.

and Morning counters with a three punch combo that has Maynard backing up. Maynard nods at Morning to acknowledge the strikes. Maynard throws a head kick that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Maynard looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Morning is breathing heavily. Maynard is looking to advance position but Morning won't allow it. Maynard is figuring out what he wants to do next. Morning is looking to control Maynard's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morning avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maynard not doing much here.
Maynard is looking to pass Morning's guard but actually Morning recovers to full guard. Maynard stands up and waves to Morning to follow him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Morning lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Maynard backs up against the cage.
Maynard has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maynard fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Maynard's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Morning drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Maynard gets the underhooks and prevents it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morning is pressed up against the cage. Maynard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Morning down to the mat. Morning avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mackin Morning dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gray Maynard's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Morning pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gray Maynard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maynard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Maynard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Morning counters with a low kick, right behind Maynard 's knee. Maynard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Maynard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Maynard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Maynard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Morning controls Maynard momentarily but Maynard frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maynard wants to stand but Morning has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Maynard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Morning avoids it really well and circles away. Mackin Morning is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maynard moves out of range of the leg kick from Morning. Morning scores with a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Maynard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Maynard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morning is keeping the position for now. Maynard controlling from the top position. Maynard trying to control but Morning is working from the bottom. Maynard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gray Maynard. Maynard has a takedown stuffed. Morning thumps Maynard with a low kick. Maynard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morning manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Maynard has a takedown stuffed. Mackin Morning has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Maynard. Maynard takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mackin Morning is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Morning, right into the meat.
Morning gets caught napping as Maynard dives in and scores a takedown. Morning manages to retain guard. Maynard is breathing heavily. Morning working a defensive guard here.
Morning wants to get back to his feet but Maynard is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Maynard is stalling in the full guard. Morning looking for a sweep. Not yet Morning, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gray Maynard will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Gray Maynard's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Maynard gets in close and instigates a clinch. Maynard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Morning throws a series of punches but Maynard moves out of range. Maynard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Maynard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Maynard sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Morning tries to buck Maynard off but he can't manage it. Maynard swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Morning is now in Maynard's guard. A big mistake from Maynard there, giving up the dominant position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Maynard controlling Morning's posture. Maynard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Morning is aware though and is defending well. Maynard looking for a sweep. Not yet Maynard, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maynard is adopting a defensive guard. Let's hope that Maynard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Morning avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Maynard has control of Morning's left arm, preventing Morning from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maynard wants to improve his position but instead Morning has moved into half guard.
Morning passes into side control, despite Maynard's attempt to control the position.
Maynard is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Maynard can't do much from the bottom here. Maynard is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Maynard is looking for a sweep. Morning is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Gray Maynard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Maynard has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
